I was unsure whether to post this or not because of how long ago I created it. This was one of the first things I created in Photoshop and was completed on 1st october 2010. Surrealism was what first grabbed my attention in art, and as stereotypical as it sounds Salvador Dali is and has been my biggest inspiration to date. With this piece I wanted I wanted to show the effects and power of containing nature, this idea came from way back in my GCSE geography days when I was amazed by the strength that nature water has. In particular when you force a river to go by a man made route. Looking at the piece now there are obviously things that I would improve as I have developed using Photoshop, but I think that this is still one of my most impressive pieces of artwork.
